Many People Are Interested to Buy Two New PSL Teams: Najam Sethi

Najam Sethi, the chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) management committee, disclosed that two new Pakistan Super League franchises are attracting a lot of attention from prospective buyers (PSL).

Sethi said in an interview with a YouTube channel that while he had first considered the idea, he hadn’t brought it up to anyone until Peshawar Zalmi owner Javed Afridi “fired the first shot” by speculating that Faisalabad and Sialkot might be the two new teams in the league.

He said “I don’t talk about it with anyone, but my initial impression was that I didn’t know how it seemed in the media. Thus, in my opinion, Javed Afridi has officially announced that Sialkot and Faisalabad will be the two new PSL teams. I’d like to see at least two new clubs added, but we haven’t talked to the franchises about it and we haven’t decided, “

“Franchises have a lot of understanding and worries about their income and whether or not the market can support them. We need to talk about it because without them, we can’t move on, “explained Sethi.

He also added that “They must participate in the consultation procedure. But what I will say is that if these two teams are brought to the PSL, it will be a win-win situation for everyone because so many people are interested in buying them,”

“The revenue will increase and the teams will grow, and I advise the other six franchises that you will not suffer any loss, but you will make a profit from this, and if the income lowers, then we will assist you in this regard,”
