Mazdoor Ka Ehsaas Report Launched for Labor Welfare
To protect the welfare of workers, Ehsaas has released the “Mazdoor Ka Ehsaas Report” in Islamabad.
On the eve of International Labor Day, Dr. Sania Nishtar, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister (SAPM) on Poverty Alleviation and Social Protection, and Syed Zulfikar Bukhari, SAPM on Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development, co-chaired a webinar to introduce the report.

Dr. Aliya Khan, a labour economist, and officials from the World Bank, the Asian Development Bank, the Employers Federation of Pakistan (EFP), the International Labor Organization (ILO), the Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis, and the Pakistan Workers’ Federation (PWF) were on the panel (ADB).
According to specifics, the recently released research suggests that every worker in Pakistan receive social protection and a basic quality of living.

The Ehsaas Labour Expert Group (LEG), made up of eminent experts from the federal and provincial governments, employers, trade unions, academia, the corporate sector, development partners, and NGOs, has identified interventions for extending social protection that will benefit the labour class most.
In order to achieve this, the Poverty Alleviation and Social Safety Division (PASSD) is establishing a special unit to work continuously for the welfare of workers in the informal sector, the agricultural sector, as well as the formal sector who are not covered by the current social security policies.
