Minister Guides WASA to Divide Illegal Water Connections
According to news sources, Punjab Housing Minister Asad Khokhar has asked the Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) in several towns to cut unlawful water and sewerage connections.

Minister Khokar issued these directions while presiding over a meeting of the chairmen and delegates of all the main cities’ WASAs and Punjab Horticulture Authority (PHA).
He urged the participants to establish plans and solutions to overcome their revenue shortfall and to concentrate more on achieving their objectives. In order to conserve water, he also requested that officials establish plans to replenish subterranean water resources and construct water treatment plants.

In a similar vein, the minister stressed that no defaulter would be spared under any circumstances and urged the authorities not to tolerate undue pressure when implementing policies.
In addition, PHA Lahore Director General Jawad Ahmad Qureshi informed the conference that the authority gave 90,000 samples to inhabitants of Lahore during the plantation drive. In addition, he stated that geotagging and remote sensing are used to monitor the urban plantation program.
