Rawalpindi, Pakistan – The Pakistan Super League (PSL) marked its historic 10th edition with a vibrant opening ceremony at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium on Friday evening. For the first time in PSL history, Rawalpindi hosted the glittering kickoff event, which brought together thousands of passionate cricket fans for an unforgettable night of music, culture, and celebration.
A Star-Studded Musical Night
The ceremony boasted an electrifying lineup of Pakistan’s top musical talents, creating a festive atmosphere ahead of the season opener. Legendary Sufi singer Abida Parveen, pop sensation Ali Zafar, iconic performer Abrar ul Haq, and hip-hop duo Young Stunners shared the stage, delivering high-energy performances that lit up the stadium.

The official PSL X anthem was performed live by Abrar ul Haq, Natasha Baig, and Talha Anjum, with fans enthusiastically singing along. Following the opening festivities, the spotlight shifted to the field for the much-anticipated opening match between Islamabad United, the defending champions, and Lahore Qalandars, the two-time PSL winners. The first ball was bowled at 8:30 PM under the vibrant Pindi lights, with fans settling in for what promises to be an action-packed tournament.
