Mobile App Launched for Tax Payment
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa citizens can now pay taxes via an online application on their cell phone, which was launched in Peshawar.

During a ceremony, the mobile application “Zama KP,” an e-payment portal for online payment of provincial taxes, was introduced. Chief Minister Mahmood Khan was the honored guest during the event.
Initially, this e-payment tool could be used to pay token vehicle taxes, according to a press statement. “In the following phase, the facility will be expanded to accommodate payment of the remaining vehicle and property taxes,” it stated.
The department of excise taxation and narcotics control launched the e-payment portal. However, the technology can also be used by other departments to collect their taxes. Similarly, the “Zama KP” application can also be used to pay educational board fees.

The application was created with the technical and financial support of the subnational governance programme and the British Foreign and Commonwealth Office.
The chief minister stated that the application was a significant and historic step towards e-governance for the province administration. According to him, the effort will not only facilitate tax payment but also increase revenue collection.
