Mohmand Marble City Becomes SEZ
According to media sources, the board of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Special Economic Zone Authority (SEZA) granted Mohmand Marble City Special Economic Zone (SEZ) status in Peshawar.

During the conference, the prime minister ordered that the marble companies be shifted as quickly as feasible from Warsak Road, Shabqadar, and Malagori to Mohmand Marble City. In addition, the minister urged that all economic zones provide amenities for investors.
In addition, the CM directed the investors to commence work on their assigned plots within six months or face having their contracts cancelled.
In addition, the meeting adopted SEZA’s standard operating procedures, which will be submitted for final approval to the Federal Board of Investment (BoI). Also announced was the approval of the Rashakai SEZ zone regulations by the Federal BoI. The special purpose vehicle of Rashakai SEZ is registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan.

In addition, the establishment of the Mohmand Special Economic Zone was discussed at the meeting. According to the media, 106 out of 290 plots have been allocated, and a 132KV grid station and water supply are available.
In addition, the board examined the application for the status of sole enterprise SEZ for manufacturing cement and allied construction materials in Dera Ismail (DI) Khan. Due to sales limits, CM Mahmood Khan ordered the leasing of Rashakai SEZ properties.
