MoU Signed Between Punjab Police, Akhuwat Foundation
According to our sources, on February 16 (Wednesday), the Punjab Police and the Akhuwat Foundation signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to grant house loans to lower-ranking police officials in Lahore. Punjab Police and Akhuwat Foundation signed a Memorandum of Understanding under the Kamyab Pakistan Program (KPP).

As part of the scheme, the Akhuwat Foundation would offer home loans of up to PKR 1.5 million to workers earning less than PKR 50,000 per month. According to Inspector General (IG) of Police Rao Sardar Ali, the program will assist individuals who cannot afford to own their own homes in obtaining loans. Under the program, police officers would be permitted to get loans for a duration of 15 years. Monthly payments will be collected from the borrower’s paycheck to repay the debt.

The Welfare Branch of the Central Police Office will accept loan applications from police officers in all areas. Following review, the DIG welfare applications will be sent to the Akhuwat headquarters.
