MoU Signed for Online Civil Registration
Peshawar: A memorandum of understanding for online birth, death, marriage, and divorce certificate registration at the village and union council levels was signed by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Local Government, Elections, and Rural Development Department and National Database & Registration Authority (Nadra).

Akbar Ayub Khan, the provincial minister for local government election and development, Shakeel Mian, Khuda Bakhsh, the director general of local government, and other top Nadra officials were present at the signing event.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Ayub noted that the MoU for civil registration was a significant step toward digitization and the replacement of antiquated systems that would have a significant impact.

The minister said that the online registration would provide the government access to timely data on health, education, and poverty reduction so that it could plan for sustainable development in the future.
