Murree Road Becomes Signal Free From Saddar to Faizabad
Rawalpindi: Murree Road from Saddar to Faizabad is now signal-free following the reconstruction of Marrir Chowk.
Nonetheless, the regular flow of traffic on the popular thoroughfare is still hampered by motorbike workshops erected on pathways along Murree Road and even on its sides.

According to a spokesman for the traffic police, Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Rai Mazhar Iqbal started the renovation of Marrir Chowk to enable continuous traffic flow on Murree Road from Saddar to Faizabad. The ability to watch the public in real time with the aid of cameras placed at various locations is another advantage of making the road single-free.
The redesign of Marrir Chowk was done by the RDA engineers and traffic police.

After the renovations, vehicles cannot pass Marrir Chowk to go on Rashid Minhas Road going from Kamran Market. Instead, it will do a U-turn close to the Leh Bridge and turn left into Murree Road before continuing on to Kutchery. The majority of drivers, according to the spokesman, are pleased with the most recent adjustments made by the traffic police. Nonetheless, they said that workshops erected along the sidewalks and at various locations along Murree Road continued to obstruct the free flow of traffic.
