NADRA Launches Allotting Inheritance Certification
Lahore: According to news reports, the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has started giving inheritance and mutation certificates to the deceased’s kin. For inheritances under $100,000 and claims over $100,000, the certificate issuance system levies fees of PKR 10,000 and PKR 20,000, respectively.

The legal kin applicants will need to go to a NADRA registration centre for biometric verification, per the information made public by the government, however there will also be an online option.
The certificate of mutation and inheritance will only be granted if the applicant’s information has been confirmed. Whereas the certificate’s legal challenges will be heard within 14 days. Also, each applicant will receive a tracking number so they may keep track of the progress of their application.

The technique, which was previously a time-consuming process, will make receiving the certificate more efficient and simple, according to NADRA Director General (DG) Major (Retired) Saqlain Abbas Bukhari. He continued by saying that special counters had been set up to speed up the procedure for folks.
