NCOC Shuts Down All Tourist Activities During Eid Holidays
The National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) has released new SOPs to stop the third wave of Coronavirus in light of the current COVID-19 situation and anticipated rise in tourist activities on the occasion of Eid.

From May 8 through 16, inclusive of the Eid holidays, all tourist resorts, public parks, hotels, restaurants, and retail centers in and around tourist destinations will be closed.
Travel between provinces and cities will also continue to be suspended during this time, and transit hubs that lead to popular tourist destinations including Murree, Galiyat, Swat, Kalam, Northern Regions, sea views, and beaches will also continue to be closed.

Locals of popular tourist destinations may, however, return home over the Eid holidays following rigorous inspection.
Also, NCOC has instructed the appropriate authorities to create and publish SOPs for the Itekaf, Shab-e-Qadar, Jumma-tul-Wida, and Eid prayers in a timely manner.
