Nestle to Invest Rs. 3 Billion in Pakistan This Year
Despite the high inflation and decline in purchasing power of the majority of people in Pakistan, consumer goods companies are thriving. One example of this is Nestle Pakistan, which has a strong investment strategy, as evidenced by its plan to invest Rs. 3 billion this year.
Nestle Pakistan’s investment plan for 2022 initially included several locations, but ultimately grew to Rs. 3.4 billion, according to biannual reports. The company invested in various areas such as its Sheikhupura and Kabirwala factories, distribution and sales channels, water plants, and renewable energy projects.

This resulted in a record-high profit of Rs. 15 billion and a year-on-year growth of 15% (Rs. 2.28 billion) for the company, which was largely due to increased sales volumes of its dairy, beverage, and mineral water products. Despite challenges from supply chain disruptions caused by floods, the company maintained its investment strategy, leading to strong growth for the brand.
In addition to these achievements, Nestle Pakistan launched several new products in 2022, such as LABAN drinking yogurt, MILKPAK Chocolate, Breakfast Cream, MILO RTD in PET, new IRON + (BUNYAD), and NESTLÉ CERELAC Nature’s Selection portfolio.

Furthermore, Nestle Pakistan plans to invest Rs. 3 billion in 2023 to ensure operational reliability and meet consumer demands. The company is also working to increase recycling of its packaging by more than 100% by 2025, in addition to growing its production and sales.
