New Road RS 4 B to Be Constructed from Bahawalpur to CPEC
A new road would be built from Bahawalpur to Jhangra at a cost of Rs 4 billion to connect the Bahawalpur Industrial Zone to the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), according to Pakistan’s Minister of Industries and Production, Makhdoom Khusro Bakhtiar.

During the visit, Bakhtiar stated that Prime Minister Imran Khan was expected to visit Bahawalpur on August 11 to announce the Bahawalpur Electric Power Company (BEPCO) and the construction of a road from Bahawalpur to Jhangra to connect the Bahawalpur Industrial Zone to the CPEC at a cost of Rs 4 billion.
During his visit, the federal minister told a delegation of businessmen that advancements in the domains of industry and engineering may contribute to a nation’s growth.

Bakhtiar stated that the second phase of the 317-acre Industrial Estate, which would include additional amenities, will soon be approved. He stated that a route would be built from Industrial Estate to Iqbalabad in order to connect it to the CPEC.
Bakhtiar also informed the delegation that he will raise problems pertaining to the return of withholding tax and the decrease of sales tax with the government and the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR).
