NHA Begins Handing Over Metro Bus Project to CDA
Islamabad: According to a news item posted, the National Highway Authority (NHA) has commenced the process of handing over the metro bus project – from Peshawar Morh to Islamabad International Airport (IIA) – to the Capital Development Authority (CDA) (CDA).

According to the information given, the highway authority has already turned over five metro stations to the CDA. A segment of the metro track between Peshawar Morh and the railway bridge has also been handed over.
Furthermore, the remaining two stations and the leading platform will be handed over to NHA in the second step.
As per a recent study, CDA will also establish ticketing and information management systems at bus stations before launching bus services. Last year, the civic agency gained approval for PC-1, a PKR 1.9 billion project that comprised the acquisition of 30 buses and the installation of a ticketing, command, and control system.
Likewise, the authorities have claimed that these buses will be purchased after the government approves funding.
The authorities also hinted at a stop-gap deal with Islamabad Rawalpindi Metro Bus Service ‘to ply a few buses on the route until the CDA procures the buses.’
