NUST Announces to Open Another Campus
Agha Hassan Baloch, Federal Minister for Science and Technology, believes that the proposed Khuzdar campus of the National University of Science and Technology (NUST) will be a watershed moment for the education and research sectors in Balochistan.

During a meeting with NUST Rector Lt. Gen. (r) Javed Mehmood Bukhari, the Minister discussed various aspects of the Khuzdar campus, with a particular emphasis on the promotion of higher education in science and technology in Balochistan’s underprivileged areas.
The Minister also discussed the potential benefits of the campus to the region and stated that the Ministry of Science and Technology would send a letter to the Chairman of NUST’s Board of Governors (BoG) to emphasise the significance of the project.

During the meeting, it was also announced that work on the project’s PC-I (Preparation of Cost Estimates and Implementation) would begin soon, and that the project would be included in the Public Sector Development Program (PSDP) for the following fiscal year.
Furthermore, at the Minister’s suggestion, the group decided to build a Khuzdar Block on the NUST Balochistan Campus in Quetta. This would strengthen the region’s educational and research opportunities, and the Khuzdar campus would become a key player in the region’s development.
The Khuzdar campus is expected to play an important role in the region’s development, providing a much-needed boost to the education and research sectors in Balochistan.
