Global Marathon Test Showcases SHS Power with “One Car, Two Vibes” Concept
On April 25–26, OMODA & JAECOO successfully hosted the “9 Countries Super Hybrid Marathon” in China, putting its advanced Super Hybrid System (SHS) to the test in real-world conditions.
The long-distance drive brought together media professionals and key opinion consumers (KOCs) from nine regions, including France, Spain, Poland, Saudi Arabia, Brazil, Vietnam, Australia, South Africa, and Pakistan. Representing Pakistan was Wild Lens by Abrar, who joined the international lineup.

Participants drove three hybrid models — OMODA 5, JAECOO 5, and JAECOO 7 — across a challenging 625-kilometer route featuring highways, urban roads, and scenic lakeside stretches.
625km Multi-Terrain Route Puts Hybrid Technology to the Test
The carefully designed route served as the centerpiece of the marathon, combining diverse driving conditions to evaluate the full capability of SHS technology.
The journey began in Wuhu and continued along Chaohu Lakeside Avenue, offering both scenic landscapes and technical driving challenges. The first day concluded at Doushahe Hot Spring Town after testing vehicle performance on smooth lakeside roads.
On the return leg, drivers navigated the Taoxi route, covering urban traffic and intercity highways. This mix of environments allowed participants to assess the vehicles’ adaptability across real-world scenarios — from daily commuting to long-distance cruising.

Real-World Data Confirms SHS Efficiency and Performance
A fuel efficiency challenge was a key part of the marathon, focusing on two metrics: lowest fuel consumption and longest driving range.
All vehicles were tested under standardized conditions, including active air conditioning (set at 23°C), seat ventilation, navigation systems, and audio usage — ensuring accurate real-world performance data.
Each model demonstrated its unique strengths:
- OMODA 5 delivered a stylish design, smart interior, and balanced performance, appealing to younger drivers.
- JAECOO 5 focused on outdoor versatility, offering smooth hybrid performance with strong off-road capability and a quiet cabin experience.
- JAECOO 7 combined rugged performance with refined styling, embodying both adventure and elegance.
Across highway speeds, curves, and inclines, the SHS system maintained strong power delivery while ensuring fuel efficiency and smooth operation.

Test results showed fuel consumption as low as 3.4L/100 km, highlighting the system’s core strengths:
- High power output
- Low fuel consumption
- Extended driving range
Immersive Experience Blends Technology with Lifestyle
Beyond performance testing, the event also focused on delivering a lifestyle-driven experience.
Participants enjoyed scenic stops along Chaohu Lake and Dousha River, where photography sessions captured the vehicles against natural backdrops. Evening activities included cultural performances, live music, and interactive experiences, creating a relaxed environment for media interaction and feedback sharing.
The event concluded with an award ceremony, where top-performing participants were recognized. A group photo marked the official formation of the “OMODA & JAECOO Special Test Drive Team.”
Innovation Beyond Hybrid Technology
The marathon coincided with the IBS Chery International Business Summit, where the brand introduced Mornine — an intelligent robot developed in collaboration with AiMOGA Robotics.
This highlights OMODA & JAECOO’s broader vision of integrating advanced technology into mobility and everyday life.
Strengthening Global Position
As OMODA & JAECOO move closer to achieving one million global sales, the brand continues to enhance its international presence through innovation and product development.

The 625km marathon test provides strong real-world validation of its hybrid technology, reinforcing its ambition to lead the global hybrid vehicle market.
