On-timely Completion of Roads Leading to Tourist Spots Ordered
Peshawar: According to media reports, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister (CM) Mahmood Khan ordered the relevant agencies to finish construction on tourism road projects by the deadline.
CM Mahmood Khan stressed the necessity for these projects to be finished quickly during the meeting to appraise the road project in order to promote tourism in the province. In the meeting were administrative secretaries, provincial minister Ishtiaq Urmar, chief minister Amjad Ali Khan’s principal secretary, and other pertinent officials.

The CM received a briefing on the specifics of road projects for tourists that were paid for under the Annual Development Program (ADP). All provinces are reportedly working on various initiatives, especially in the Hazara and Malakand divisions.
At a cost of PKR 4.812 billion, 11 different tourist routes are now being constructed in Malakand Division. To provide accessibility to tourism destinations in Hazara Division, six motorways are being developed at a cost of PKR 4.6 billion.

A highway leading to the historic tourist site of Sheikh Badin was also being constructed. Costs for the project are projected to be PKR 3 billion. The Abbottabad-Thandiayani road, which is 24 kilometres long, and the Mankiyal-Bada Sarai route, which is 23 kilometres long, were also described to the chief minister. The relative costs of these programmes are PKR 2.5 billion and PKR 3.4 billion.
In addition, Chief Minister Mahmood Khan directed the relevant authorities to release tenders for advanced plans so that work could begin on these projects.
