One Curriculum for Classes 6 to 8 Approved
Islamabad: A uniform national curriculum for classes VI through VIII was accepted by experts and would be used starting in the next school year.

At the conclusion of a five-day national meeting on the unified curriculum held at Allama Iqbal Open University, the curriculum was approved. For Classes I through V, a unified national curriculum will be implemented beginning in the forthcoming academic session in August of this year.
The National Curriculum Council, stakeholders, and education units of provincial governments were all thanked by Education Minister Shafqat Mahmood during the conference’s concluding ceremony.

Speaking at the event, AIOU Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Ziaul Qayyum said the Prime Minister and the Ministry of Education deserved praise for their sincere efforts to implement the curriculum. He emphasized the value of preparing teachers to implement the new curriculum.
Dr. Farooq Manzoor, the managing director of the Punjab Curriculum and Textbook Board, and Dr. Ehtesham Anwar, the education secretary for South Punjab, both spoke at the event.
