Operation at Full Capacity Launched by Green Line BRT
Monday saw the full start of the Green Line Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) project in Karachi, according to press reports. With public transit assistance, the path between Surjani Town and Numaish Chowrangi will be simplified.

The project had already been launched by Prime Minister Imran Khan on December 25, and limited operations had begun. The buses currently operate 15 hours per day, seven days per week, and charge a minimum of PKR 15 for every one-way trip (maximum: PKR 55).

On his official Twitter account, the Federal Minister for Planning, Development, and Special Initiatives, Asad Umar, also verified the launch of the Green Line BRT service. He added that the service operates from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., with 22 stations and 80 buses. The following bus stations have been constructed: Surjani, Abdullah Chowk, Do Minute Chowrangi, Power House, Nagan Chowrangi, Jumma Bazar, Haideri, Board Office, Nazimabad Number One, Sanitary Market, and Numaish.
