Oxygen Plant at KDA Hospital Demanded
Kohat: Social circles have accused the parliamentarians of making false promises to delay the construction of Liaquat Memorial Hospital and install an oxygen plant in the KDA Teaching Hospital.

Shah Mehmood, president of the Kohat Peace Council, Hannan Shah, president of Son of Kohat, Abid Khan, and Rasheed Paracha, president of the Kohat Chamber of Commerce and Industries, all claimed that despite three legislative inaugurations of the oxygen plant in the previous year, it has yet to be put into operation.
They said that although the KDA hospital was upgraded to Category-A status in 2010, it still possessed Category-C hospital amenities.

They further claimed that because there was no centralised system in place at the hospital to provide oxygen to every ward, emergency room, CCU, and ICU, patients were compelled to travel to CMH Kohat and hospitals in Peshawar.
As 22 oxygen cylinders had arrived at the hospital, the KDA officials assured the worried officials that there was no oxygen shortage there.
