Pak-Turkish JBC Sees Big Trade Via Land Route to Turkey
Karachi: Pakistan- Amjad Rafi, chairman of the Turkish Joint Business Council of FPCCI, has praised the creation of a direct land connection to Turkey for commercial purposes.

In a statement released on Tuesday by the Federation of Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, he acknowledged the efforts of the National Logistics Cell (NLC) that resulted in the issuance of a Transports Internationaux Routiers (International Road Transports) license/permit for the route for transporting goods from Pakistan to Turkey.
The top executive stated that this would not only save shipping time but also freight costs, as shipping companies charged five times as much.
The Istanbul-Tehran-Islamabad road corridor was to be revitalized by NLC in the last week of this month in order to convey high-value products from Pakistan to Turkey.

Turkey, according to the chairman of the PTJBC, is a major market for textile raw materials such as denim and yarn, and Pakistan will be able to ship these materials to Europe well before Bangladesh.
In contrast to the shipping schedule of approximately one month, he stated that the shipment would reach Turkey or vice versa in ten days via the land route. The service would be advantageous for exporters and importers alike.
