Pakistan Amends Afghan Transit Trade Mechanism for Import Cost
Mohammad Sadiq, Pakistan’s Special Representative for Afghanistan, stated that Pakistan altered the bonded carrier regime system for Afghan transit commerce to fulfil the desire of traders.

In an effort to halt the spread of the coronavirus pandemic, the interior ministry shut down the Torkham border crossing earlier today owing to the coronavirus on the orders of the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC).
The NCOC was notified during a meeting that 3,000 Afghan students had begun arriving in Pakistan. The forum also revealed that effective coronavirus testing had been arranged, and that pupils who tested positive for the virus would be sent home, while the others would spend 10 days in quarantine.

Afghan and Pakistani health authorities attended the transfer ceremony at the Torkham border, while Principal Customs Collector Asif Mehmood Jah served as the event’s chief guest.
Participants asked the government of Pakistan to create a special policy or system for Afghan traders in order to facilitate their registration with the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) and other authorities so that they can contribute to Pakistan’s economy.
