Pakistan and Denmark Collaborate for Renewable Energy Projects
A Joint Technical Working Group (JTWG) was established on Monday by Pakistan and Denmark with the goal of determining the Terms of Reference (ToRs) for Government-to-Government energy agreements.

The JTWG was created at a virtual meeting held at the Power Division, which was co-chaired by the energy minister, Omar Ayub Khan, and the ambassador of Denmark to Pakistan, Lis Rosenholm.
In a report on technical assistance for Pakistan in the fields of clean energy and energy efficiency, the Danish delegation emphasized the significance of bilateral strategic energy cooperation.
Minister Omar Ayub praised Denmark’s position as the world leader in clean and green energy, but he also said Pakistan was working to fully utilize its enormous renewable energy potential.
He claimed that the administration had set high targets for the country’s energy mix, including 25% renewable energy by 2025 and 30% by 2030, along with a 45 percent share of hydropower generating and 10% nuclear energy.

He also emphasized the significance of collaboration on initiatives like the construction of wind turbines and solar panels, the reduction of energy waste, and the improvement of grid transmission capabilities.
