Pakistan Exports to EU Increased by 33 Percent Since 2013
Since receiving the Generalized System of Preferences (GSP) Plus status in late 2013, Pakistan’s exports to the EU market have surged by 33 percent, primarily in the textile industry, according to the European Union’s ambassador to Pakistan, Androulla Kaminara.

According to a statement issued here, the ambassador, referring to the EU Review Report, 2020, stated that Pakistan had signed 27 treaties in various sectors, and progress had been made on some of them, such as human rights, development of transgender people, and journalist protection.
The ambassador stated that the EU-Pakistan Business Council would be established to strengthen economic and commercial cooperation.
The ambassador stated that the EU, in conjunction with the German GIZ, has implemented skill training programmes in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the former Fata, as well as reforms in the affairs of the police and counter-terrorism department and women parliamentarians.

Former FPCCI presidents Ghazanfar Bilour and Zahidullah Shinwari, as well as other speakers, stated that KP’s natural resources, including the gems and jewellery, marble, hydropower, honey, olive, and mining sectors, possessed a vast investment potential.
