Pakistan Received Only 31.3pc of Promised USAID Funding
During the Afghan war from 2001 to 2021, Pakistan has only gotten 31.3% of the promised cash from the US Agency for International Development (USAID).

Research undertaken by the Islamabad Policy Research Institute (IPRI) has revealed a significant disparity between the amount of money promised and the amount actually supplied over the past two decades.
The USAID had promised $33.32 billion in funds, of which $17.10 billion were distributed, but only $8.55 billion were really provided, a pitiful amount compared to the material and human losses incurred by Pakistan.
The study data revealed that USAID’s military help was less than its economic aid, as just $5.49 billion were allocated for military aid compared to $11.81 billion for economic aid.

It also provided an overview of the recipients of the donations in Pakistan, which included the government at 63.03 percent, non-governmental organizations (NGOs) at 11.98 percent, multilateral organizations at 11.78 percent, and businesses with 11.39 percent.
However, universities and research institutions received only 1.51 percent of the money, while church and faith-based organizations received 0.5004 percent and public and private partnerships received 0.0058 percent.
