Pakistan Records Highest Export of Goods in FY21
Advisor to the Prime Minister on Trade and Investment Abdul Razak Dawood stated in Islamabad that Pakistan’s exports of goods reached a new high of $25,3 billion in fiscal year 2020-21 (FY21), surpassing the $25,11 billion registered in fiscal year 2013-14 (FY14).

Despite the negative impact of Covid-19, exports climbed 18 percent compared to the previous fiscal year, FY20, a consultant stated during a news briefing today.
He stated that during the previous fiscal year, the country’s exports of goods totaled $25,3 billion, while exports of services reached $6 billion.
He reported that domestic exports exceeded $2 billion in June of FY21.

He stated that the administration would negotiate a Preferential Trade Agreement (PTA) with Uzbekistan on July 7, while also working to reduce 4,000 tariff lines by 2022.
Later, in a series of tweets, Dawood praised the efforts of Pakistani exporters. “Our exporters have done it!! It brings me great pleasure to report that our products exports for fiscal year 2020-21 are valued at $25,3 billion,” he remarked.
