Islamabad – Pakistan has strongly rejected the recent remarks made by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi during a podcast with Lex Fridman, calling them “misleading and one-sided.” The Foreign Office Spokesperson, Shafqat Ali Khan, criticized the Indian leader for ignoring the long-standing Jammu and Kashmir dispute, which remains unresolved despite international commitments and India’s past assurances.

Pakistan Slams India’s ‘Fictitious Narrative’ on Terrorism

Responding to media queries, the Foreign Office Spokesperson emphasized that India’s narrative of victimhood is baseless and an attempt to divert attention from its own actions. He accused India of supporting terrorism within Pakistan’s borders while simultaneously carrying out state-sanctioned oppression in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).

“Instead of pointing fingers at others, India should reflect on its own record of targeted assassinations, subversion, and cross-border terrorism,” Khan stated.

Call for Peaceful Resolution of Kashmir Issue

Reiterating Pakistan’s commitment to regional stability, Khan said that Islamabad has consistently advocated dialogue and constructive engagement to resolve all outstanding disputes, including the core issue of Jammu and Kashmir. However, he criticized India’s “rigid approach and hegemonic ambitions” for blocking peace and stability in South Asia.

Pakistan Urges India to Stop Anti-Pakistan Rhetoric

The spokesperson further warned that India’s anti-Pakistan propaganda damages bilateral relations and obstructs peace efforts in the region. He urged New Delhi to cease hostilities and work toward a cooperative future for South Asia.

The remarks come at a time of heightened tensions between the two nuclear-armed neighbors, with Pakistan reaffirming its stance on diplomacy, dialogue, and peaceful conflict resolution.
