Pakistan Remains Top Importer of Chinese Goods in 10M FY21
Islamabad: Singapore, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and China were the top three nations from which Pakistan purchased various items during the first ten months of the current fiscal year (10MFY21).

The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) said that the overall value of imports from China during the (July-April) period totaled $10,312.1 million, up from $7,638.1 million during the same time last fiscal year, representing an increase of 35.02 percent.
Pakistan bought commodities totaling $5,604 million from the UAE, a 1.04 percent decrease from $5,663 million the previous year.
According to SBP statistics, Singapore ranked third among the countries from which Pakistan imported items worth $2,492 million compared to $1,991 million in FY20, indicating rise of 25.16 percent.

The statistics indicated that, among other nations, Pakistani imports from the United States of America (USA) increased by 5.94% while imports from Saudi Arabia increased by 61.97%.
