Pakistan’s IT Exports Estimated to Exceed $5 Billion: PSEB
With a target of $5 billion by 2023, Pakistan’s export remittances from information technology and IT facilitated services (ITeS) climbed 38.16 percent to $648.940 million in July-November FY2020-21 from $469.713 million.
Since 2018, when the rate of increase for the same time was merely 13%, this was the IT sector’s highest rate of growth.

Syed Amin Ul Haque, the minister for IT and telecommunication, commended the industry’s recent export successes and stated that efforts to mainstream IT firms from secondary and tertiary cities were well under way to achieve holistic development.
To promote the expansion of the IT industry nationwide, he said, the Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB) has completely eliminated the registration price for IT and ITeS enterprises, including call centres and IT start-ups in underserved regions of the nation.
Haque has set a three-year goal of $5 billion in export remittances via ITeS and information technology.
