PHA to Grow 22 Miyawaki Forests in Three LDA Schemes
The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) and the Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) have teamed together to plant 22 new Miyawaki woods across the city at a cost of Rs 97 million in an effort to lessen environmental deterioration and growing pollution.

Concerned authorities have learned that the LDA would give the land and money needed for the project, while the PHA will create and manage woods in the LDA-owned housing complexes.
Akira Miyawaki, a Japanese botanist who specialises in seeds, natural forests, and plant bio networks, developed the Miyawaki technique. The plants grow 10 times quicker and 30 times denser thanks to the technology, which contributes to the development of dense, natural forests.

Prime Minister Imran Khan officially began construction on these 51 woodlands in February of this year at Racecourse Park. The LDA created a Miyawaki forest in Liberty Market Park in addition to the 51 urban forests that the PHA had already created.
