Phase 2 of Ravi Riverfront Project to Be Launched Soon
Lahore: According to media reports, the Ravi Urban Development Authority (RUDA) has begun planning the start of the Ravi Riverfront Urban Development Project (RRUDP) Phase 2, which includes a 5,000-acre land area along the riverbank.

According to rumours, tenders will be posted soon to request expressions of interest (EOIs). According to the original design, of the 5,000 acres mentioned, 3,000 acres will be developed for commercial purpose and 2,000 acres would be used for the creation of residential units.
Additionally, the authority has acquired the necessary land and will publish the request for proposals (RFP) detailing the project specifics in two weeks.
The project’s newly acquired land will be given to the development partners as part of RUIDP Phase-II so they may start construction. The development partners for the development of the 2,100 acres of land have also been completed, according to the authority.
Additionally, Mr. Imran gave the assurance that the project is self-sustaining and won’t put a strain on the national budget.

According to LDA VC, the government is buying the land for the project on its own behalf, not through private developers (who will be later tasked with the project development).
