PKR 5 billion Development Fund Approved for KP Districts
On the orders of Chief Minister Mahmood Khan, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Planning and Development (P&D) department has approved PKR 5 billion worth of uplift projects for the seven amalgamated districts and six sub-divisions, according to news reports.

The aforementioned revitalization project entails the upgrading of streets, solarization of bazaars, repair of walkways, sewage projects, food streets, playing and recreational spaces, rescue stations, construction of public toilets, and construction of a slaughterhouse. All of these projects attempt to improve economic activities and stimulate the regional economy.
CM Mehmood approved PKR 600 million for 42 uplift projects in North Waziristan, PKR 700 million for 140 projects in South Waziristan, PKR 260 million for Dera Ismail Khan’s Daraznada and Kohibahar sub-divisions, PKR 250 million for Tank district sub-divisions, and PKR 250 million for nine projects in Beltane sub-division.
600 million Pakistani Rupees have been approved for 52 projects in the Bajaur district, 601 million for various uplift projects in the Orakzai district, and 200 million for six bazaars in the Dara Adam Khel subdivision. Similarly, PKR 250 million has been allocated for the development and upkeep of the tribal subdivision Hassan Khel.

PKR 450 million was allocated for the launch of development projects in the bazaars of Khyber district’s Bara, Landi Kotal, and Jamrud tehsils, and PKR 650 million was allocated for development projects in Mohmand district. The provincial administration has instructed the individual Deputy Commissioners (DC) to personally oversee the projects.
