PM Breaks Ground for Lilla-Jhelum Dual Carriageway
According to press reports, Prime Minister Imran Khan laid the cornerstone for the 128-kilometer-long Lilla-Jhelum dual carriageway project in Islamabad, which aims to improve the country’s road infrastructure.
Similarly, three dams are being developed and ten dams will be built within the following decade. The prime minister continued by stating that the administration is concentrating on enhancing the country’s green spaces to offset the detrimental effects of climate change.
In addition, the CM added that 13 Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) road sector schemes totaling PKR 82.190 billion are underway. He noted that four major highways totaling 506 kilometers will be developed in Punjab with assistance from the Asian Development Bank (ADB).

In addition, the 204-kilometer-long Pir Mahal, Layyah, Chichawatni, Chowk Azam, Taunsa, and Rajana roads will shortly be constructed. The Asian Development Bank will aid in the construction of the 150-kilometer Depalpur-Pakpatan-Vehari Road.
Moreover, CM Buzdar disclosed that the construction of the 107-kilometer Jhang-Shorkot Road and the 75-kilometer Hasilpur-Bahawalnagar Road will shortly commence. It was reported that work on the Multan-Vehari Road and the Sargodha-Faislabad Road will shortly commence. The chief minister stated that the Sheikhupura-Gujranwala Road is currently undergoing rapid construction.
