Islamabad: Prime Minister Imran Khan reiterated the nation’s commitment to swiftly completing CPEC projects while highlighting the transformational significance of the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).

Views on the Covid-19 crisis, China’s experience with alleviating poverty, and bilateral relations were discussed during the conference.
The prime minister expressed his congratulations to the Chinese leadership for attaining the historic goal of eliminating severe poverty from China and emphasized that Pakistan was eager to learn from China’s experience in reducing poverty as well as in developing its economy.
He emphasized that Pakistan was currently dealing with the third wave of the COVID-19 virus and that the government was acting appropriately to battle it and had created a complex vaccination schedule for the entire nation.

The Pakistani people were eager to welcome President Xi Jinping to Pakistan as soon as possible, the prime minister continued.
He further stated that China would exert all efforts, including the prompt delivery of vaccines, to assist Pakistan in combating the Covid-19 outbreak.
The prime minister was once again extended an invitation to visit China by Ambassador Nong Rong.
