PM Directs Provinces to Complete Anti-encroachment Legislation
Islamabad: Prime Minister Imran Khan has instructed the provinces to promptly finish anti-encroachment legislation in addition to prosecuting ongoing cases of encroached state land.

During the meeting, the Surveyor General of Pakistan (SGP) provided a comprehensive overview of cadastral mapping throughout the nation.
It was noted that 88 percent of government lands had been mapped, indicating that thousands of acres of government land worth trillions had been encroached upon illegally.
The majority of illegal encroachments are on forest lands, in addition to WAPDA, National Highway Authority (NHA), Civil Aviation, and Railways properties.

The premier ordered the provinces to finish the validation of cadastral mapping data within two months and asked the provincial governments to complete the legislative process against illegal encroachments on public land as soon as possible.
The gathering was informed that the digitalization of private lands will be completed in the following phase with the assistance of provincial administrations.
