PM Directs Timely Execution of Gujranwala Uplift Plan
As reported by a news source, in Islamabad, Prime Minister Imran Khan told the right people to set a timeline for the Gujranwala Uplift Plan and make sure the project is done on time.

Recently, the premier led a meeting to talk about the Gujranwala Development Plan, Rawalpindi Urban Regeneration, and the Nullah Leh Expressway. All of these projects are part of the Punjab government’s Regional Development Strategy.
He said that all of the above projects needed to be constantly watched and that the federal government would do everything it could to help put the strategy into action. Through a video link, the meeting was also attended by Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar, CM’s Advisor Salman Shah, the chief secretary, and other senior officers.

The prime minister said that Gujranwala had a lot of potential and went on to say that the city contributed up to 13% of GDP, 20% of exports, and 40% of remittances. So, the goal is to improve many areas, such as knowledge and economy transfer, specialised value chain infrastructure, manual labour development, cluster support scheme, low-cost energy, communications, urban management, rural-urban market connectivity, rural development and management, and the environment.
The Prime Minister liked the strategy as a whole, and he was also adamant about promoting Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), which would help the country grow.
