PM Imran Khan Visits Dasu Dam Development Site
According to press reports, Prime Minister Imran Khan visited the Dasu Dam construction site to assess the project’s progress.

During the visit, the foreign employees and engineers on the project informed the prime minister. During a press conference, the Prime Minister emphasised the importance of dam construction for the nation, as it would aid in overcoming the problems of electricity generation and water scarcity.
He also added that this project will provide clean and affordable electricity to meet the nation’s energy requirementss. It will also lighten the load on consumers and contribute to the decline of inflation.

The first phase of the project is expected to be completed by 2025 and will cost 511 billion Pakistani rupees. The project will add 2,160 megawatts to the national electricity grid. When the second phase is completed in 2029, the capacity will increase to 4,320 megawatts.
