PM Cadastral Map of Islamabad to ‘Defeat Qabza Groups’
Prime Minister Imran Khan unveiled the cadastral map of Islamabad to prevent tampering with land records, ensure monitoring of building via imaging, and offer information on land ownership.
According to the PTI, the cadastral mapping project was designed as part of the prime minister’s plan to replace the outdated analog system with a digital online one.
Cadastral mapping was given to the Survey of Pakistan. In the first phase, the tax records of three major cities — Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad — and the country’s state land data would be digitized.
The prime minister, speaking during the project’s inauguration, referred to it as a transformative endeavor, as it would assist individuals in establishing land ownership.
The prime minister stated that the National Database and Registration Authority (Nadra) was establishing a system that would allow consumers to obtain information about projects with a single click, describing technology as the sole weapon capable of preventing land grabbing.

In reference to climate change and its effects on Pakistan, the prime minister stated that his government was taking steps to create a clean and green nation.
He also regretted the felling of trees in Pakistan, stating that the government was engaged in regeneration and noting that the Srinagar Highway’s forest cover had increased from 45 acres to 113 acres.
