PM Khan for Promotion of Tourism, Establishment of New Zone
According to news reports, Prime Minister Imran Khan stated that the tourism industry requires massive uplift programmes to fulfil its economic function and announced the establishment of a tourism zone to promote the country’s scenic spots.

During a visit to Naran and Kaghan Valley, the prime minister stressed that winter tourism should also be prioritised in order to gain the same benefits as summer tourist. Only through peace and security will we be able to generate tourism revenue, he emphasised.
In addition, according to Prime Minister Imran Khan, the administration has identified 15 other areas where improvements may be made to make Pakistan more accessible to locals and foreign tourists. He added that the KP government will construct resorts near the lakes.

In a separate development, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister of Housing Dr. Amjad Ali announced that the government has sanctioned PKR 10 million for the construction and renovation of the “Shamozai Bridge” in Swat valley.
The Shamozai Bridge and Lake will also be developed as tourism spots, he added. It will contribute to the growth and prosperity of the local economy. This will also aid in enhancing the KP’s soft image.
