PM May Open Margalla Avenue Project
Islamabad: The 32-kilometer-long Margalla Avenue project will likely be inaugurated by Prime Minister Imran Khan. According to sources, CDA’s team worked throughout the weekend to complete the essential tasks for the inaugural ceremony.

The Margalla Avenue was included in the 1960 master plan for Islamabad, however it has not yet been built.
However, the current administration chose to build this route from the Sangjani neighborhood on G.T. Road to Satra Meel.
The board declared that because the project’s alignment included numerous strategic and defense communication infrastructure and installations, the ministry of defense should be in charge of carrying it out.

After loosening up its regulations, the Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (PPRA) subsequently advised the federal government to carry out this project through a single tender earlier this month.
According to CDA officials, preparations are being made at both ends of the avenue for the inauguration, one near Sangjani and the other near Quaid-i-Azam University, and the PM Office will choose the location.
