PM Officially Launches Single National Curriculum Today
Islamabad: Federal Education Minister Shafqat Mahmood stated that Prime Minister Imran Khan will officially unveil the Single National Curriculum (SNC), which he termed a milestone in the effort to remove disparities in the education system.

The minister stated at a press conference at the Press Information Department (PID) that, with the exception of Sindh, the SNC had been implemented from class I to class V in public, private, and seminary institutions.
The minister warned that private schools that refuse to use SNC-based textbooks would be punished.
In addition to other issues, the SNC stressed character development in pupils, fostering tolerance, patriotism, civic obligations, etc. He stated that under the SNC, Muslim pupils will be required to study Nazra and will also learn about the life of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).

Similarly, the minister stated that for the first time, students of five minority groups would be taught their sect’s literature. In response to a question, the minister stated that he would ensure there was no lack of books on the market. He stated that compared to others, the SNC books were quite inexpensive.
