PM to Inaugurate Karachi’s Green Line BRT Project Next Month
According to media sources, Sindh Governor Imran Ismail said that the Green Line Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) project will become operational by the end of August or the beginning of September in Karachi.

The Sindh governor said that Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan will inaugurate the Green Line BRT project in August, following a meeting with Dr. Zulfiqar Mirza, leader of the Grand Democratic Alliance (GDA). Imran Ismail informed the media that new development projects will be initiated to enhance the living conditions of the residents of Badin and the adjacent areas.

Additionally, construction on Phase I of the Green Line BRT project began in 2016. The proposed path is 24 kilometres long, with 12.7 kilometres elevated and 10.9 kilometres at ground level. The Green Line BRT will be buried 422 metres deep and include 25 stations.
At M.A. Jinnah Road, the Phase-II common corridor from Gurumandir to Municipal Park will contain two underpasses.
