PM to Perform Groundbreaking of Lahore’s Sheranwala Flyover
According to media sources, Prime Minister Imran Khan will lay the cornerstone for three development projects in the city of Lahore.

The dates for the groundbreaking had previously been announced and cancelled twice. According to a senior source whose identity was not divulged, the PM is now set to break ground on Monday, July 12th.
The Sheranwala Gate Flyover, which would cost PKR 4.9 billion, is the first project. A one-kilometer-long flyover would connect the Naulakha Police Station and the Sheranwala Gate Flyover. Because it will be a signal-free road, this project aims to ease Circular Road’s traffic congestion.
Chief Engineer of the Lahore Development Authority (LDA), Mazhar Hussain Khan, stated that a 6-foot walkway would be constructed on both sides of the road. Moreover, the development of sewage pipelines is proceeding rapidly.

In addition, the second project, valued at PKR 4,300,000,000, is the Shahkam Chowk overhead project. This project would enhance public transit along Link Canal Road between Thokar Niaz Beg and Shahkam Chowk.
The third project, valued at 197 million PKR, focuses on rainwater management. It is intended to catch precipitation and use it to replenish underground aquifers and irrigate city plants.
