PR Approves Railways Crossing at Siraj Town Underpass
According to news reports, Pakistan Railways (PR) has approved the construction of an underpass at Siraj Town in Gojra. On Toba Tek Singh Road, the underpass will be constructed to enhance traffic flow.
According to the article, local legislative representative Bilal Asghar Warraich stated that Railway Minister Azam Swati approved the project after weighing local concerns.
The development of the underpass will decrease travel time to the city and lessen the number of deadly accidents that have claimed countless lives over the years.
In related developments, Pakistan Railway (PR) has reached an agreement with a Chinese Information Technology (IT) company to build an advanced facial recognition and ticketing system.

The project will be constructed by means of a public-private partnership (PPP). According to the report, the Chinese company would operate the system for ten years before transferring it to PR under the Built Operation and Transfer (BoT) method. This agreement is a component of the Railway Automated Booking and Travel Assistance initiative (RABTA).
