Price of Gold in Pakistan Begins New Week With Slight Increase
The price of gold in Pakistan increased slightly to conclude the previous week at Rs. 209,000 per tola.
The price of gold (24 carats) increased by Rs. 800 per tola to Rs. 209,000, and the price of 10 grammes jumped by Rs. 686 to close at Rs. 179,184, according to figures issued by the All-Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association (APSGJA).
The price of gold dropped by Rs. 7,800 a tola over the past week, despite a mid-week surge. Monday saw a sharp drop in price of Rs. 8,800 per tola to start the week, while Tuesday saw another drop of Rs. 2,200 per tola.

Before dropping by Rs. 200 per tola on Saturday, the price increased by Rs. 3,000 per tola over the course of the next three days. In Pakistan, the price of gold is currently considerably lower than the record high of Rs. 240,000 per tola set on May 10.
By 1144 GMT, spot gold prices were essentially constant at $1,923.69 per ounce on the global market, while US gold futures saw a 0.2 percent decline to $1,929.10 per ounce.
