Price of Gold in Pakistan Increases for Second Straight Day

On Friday, the cost of gold rose for the second day in a row to settle at Rs. 223,400 a tola.

The price of gold (24 carats) jumped by Rs 2,700 per tola to Rs 223,400, and the price of 10 grammes increased by Rs 2,315 to close at Rs 191,530, according to figures issued by the All-Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association (APSGJA).

Yesterday, the cost of gold jumped by Rs. 1,700 per tola. On the first three days of the week, the cost decreased, falling by Rs. 1,750 per tola on Monday, Rs. 4,000 per tola on Tuesday, and Rs. 2,500 per tola on Wednesday.

Despite the increases on Thursday and today, the price of gold has decreased overall by Rs. 3,850 per tola so far this week.
