Proposal to Connect Shaukat Ali Signal-Free with Motorway
Lahore: The Maulana Shaukat Ali signal-free corridor project is scheduled to be extended and connected with the Babu Sabu Interchange to enable motorists (entering the corridor from the Qainchi stop on Ferozepur Road) with a hassle-free driving to and from the motorway.

If approved, the proposal to connect the highway to Ferozepur Road by extending the existing 15-kilometer-long corridor by three to four kilometres will reduce travel time from one hour to twenty minutes.
Another approach is to follow the drain, turn right (after about 500 metres) to Sabzazar Scheme, turn left at Liaqat Chowk, then turn left at Babu Sabu junction to reach the highway.

A range of interventions, including the building of underpasses, flyovers, protected U-turns, pedestrian bridges, elevated paths/passages for motorcycles, and pathways for walkers, would be implemented at various points throughout the project. It will also aid the government in reclaiming the service roads on both sides of the existing Maulana Shaukat Ali Road (car showroom dealers and other business outlets).
