Funds Allocated for Construction of Hospital in Turbat
The Punjab government has withdrew funding allotted for the construction of a general hospital in Turbat, Balochistan, under the Annual Development Programme for the current fiscal year (ADP).

The Punjab government withdrew Rs 50 million from the ADP of the Specialized Healthcare and Medical Education Department (SHC&MED) to establish a 100-bed general hospital in Turbat.
During his July 2017 visit to Balochistan, Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar announced the establishment of a 100-bed hospital in Turbat and a pilgrimage complex in Taftan at a cost of Rs 1 billion.
According to sources within SHC&MED, the department withdrew fifty million rupees from the initiative and redirected the funding to ongoing programs in select public hospitals in Punjab. In this regard, however, SHC&MED Secretary Barrister Nabeel A. Awan did not react to the inquiry.

The Punjab government, according to Chief Minister Sardar Usman Bazdar, has allotted substantial funding for the construction of a hospital in Turbat.
The Chief Minister stated that the Punjab government will try to expand Balochistan’s health care services.
