Punjab Govt Released RS 8.21bn for Development Schemes
Recently, news outlets stated that the Punjab Planning and Development (P&D) Board has released PKR 8.21 billion for various development projects around the province.

The projects involve the construction of roads and the improvement of infrastructure throughout the province’s many districts. Following are descriptions of some of the supported projects:
According to the available information, the government has allocated PKR 2.85 billion for the establishment of a sub-campus of the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) at Chichwatni. The budget for the construction of an 11.90-kilometer dual road in Rahim Yar Khan from Thalli Chowk to Iqbal Abad is PKR 870.17 million (N5).
Additionally, the government has allocated PKR 450.70 million for the construction of 8.8-kilometer highways in Vehari and PKR 1.38 billion for the construction and dualization of a 16.50-kilometer road in Gujrat.
