Punjab Government to Fund Rawalpindi Ring Road Project
According to media sources, Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Sardar Usman Buzdar has withdrawn the Rawalpindi Ring Road (RRR) project from the Public-Private Partnership Authority (PPPA).

At the eighth meeting of the Public-Private Partnership Policy and Monitoring Board, held at the CM Office, the decision was announced.
During the meeting, it was decided that work on the RRR project will commence using PC-1 mode and government resources. The meeting participants also decided to remove the Kharian-Dinga Road project from the portfolio of public-private partnerships.
During the meeting, the amended proposals for Multan-Vehari Road, Faisalabad-Chiniot-Sargodha Road, and the water meter project were also approved.

During the same meeting, the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) asked PPPA to assume responsibility for citizen facilitation centres. The facilitation centers would be established at Chakwal, Lodhran, Sialkot, and Rahim Yar Khan in PC-1 mode (RYK).
In addition, Prime Minister Usman Buzdar ordered the speedy completion of all projects. The seventh meeting’s resolutions were also ratified, and the attendees were updated on the progress of development initiatives.
